- Launching in March, 2001, Reactor was Cartoon Network’s first online video service. A three month experiment, Reactor streamed full episodes of the popular Dragon Ball Z and an exclusive, the classic Star Blazers. The website also had a flash based Dragon Ball Z game, and trivia section.
- Reactor was relaunched in November, 2001, this time featuring online-exclusive programming consisting of: Patlabor, Record of Lodoss War, The Harlock Saga, and Record of Lodoss War. Along with animated music videos from Daft Punk, and Toonami themed Flash games.
- Halfway through 2002, Reactor went off-line for the second, and final time. Looking for ways to expand the growing Adult Swim brand, Cartoon Network partnered with Viz Media to create the Adult Swim Pipeline to promote Adult Swim and Viz’s Shonen Jump line. The AS Pipeline eventually died in May of 2003.
- In July of 2006, Toonami Jetstream, an ad-supported joint collaboration between Cartoon Network and Viz Meda, and the successor to Toonami Reactor launched. Featuring on-line exclucive series, Cartoon Network originals, Toonami classic series, Jetstream has proven to be very popular.
