• Williams Street, the same people who bring you awesome Action Animation for Toonami and Adult Swim handle the packaging for the SVES block. This means they are responsible for the promos that air for various shows and events, but have no hand in deciding the programming that goes on for the block or the ID cards which feature the 'Saturday Mascot'.
• The initial concept for the block was thought up by: http://www.super-fi.com, who also made the ID cards with the Samus-esque mascot and video game setups.
• It is rumored that Mark Hamill, well known Actor from Star Wars, as well as numerous Voice Acting credits such as Joker and Larry from Time Squad, is the announcer for the SVES block.
• Because of the amount of programming that Toonami and SVES share, many people felt it should be turned into a Saturday Toonami block. It was the hottest debated subject amongst the Toonami community through out the 2003 year.
• The block obviously plays it's name (Saturday Video Entertainment System) off of the late Nintendo Entertainment System.
• The block's mascot also plays off a Nintendo franchise. She is meant to resemble that of Samus, from Nintendo's Metroid.
